New Cumberland Police Department
The New Cumberland Police Department was established over 100 years ago and remains a vital part of our community. The current Chief of Police is Bud Kauffman. Today's force participates in many activities including the Cumberland County Drug Task Force and the West Shore School District DARE Program. The New Cumberland Police also continue to learn modern technology such as their participation in the Automated Electronic Defibrillator Program.

New Cumberland Fire Department
The New Cumberland Fire Department is an all-volunteer fire department serving the New Cumberland community for over 100 years. The fire department and EMS services have been a vital and active part of the lives of local residents. Always present at fires, accidents, and medical emergencies, local volunteers have protected property and saved the lives of many residents. The fire company social hall also serves as a community meeting place for many New Cumberland events.
